Fruits and vegetables are recommended by everyone for their health benefits and amazing nutrients they contain. A salad is a mix of fruits or vegetables and that only gives us an explanation of why it is good to consume it. Especially dark green and orange vegetables and legumes are all popular salad ingredients.

Eating salad can be an amazing habit that will support you on your weight loss journey. Salads contain a ton of differing beneficial and healthy nutrients that are essential for weight loss. Salads also tent to increase your metabolism especially green salads. They are the best when it comes to this. Studies have shown that eating a low-calorie first course, like a green salad of 150 calories or less, makes you feel full and reduces the total number of calories eaten during the meal. Basically it allows you to have better control over what you consume at your main meal IF the salad is not your main meal.
Salads are easy to prepare
Yes they do require some time for preparation. However if you consider the time you will spend cooking an average meal, you will see that salads don’t require that much time. What does it really take to make a salad? Just raw vegetables and some nice dressing and that’s it! So next time you feel hungry, please avoid the bag of chips.
